Why is there so much suffering in the world?

Why so much suffering in the world?
© Dhammza

Last night I was researching — like I do, a lot.

I was looking again at cancer — the causes, the solutions. Again it was crystal clear to me the enormity of human suffering as well as the enormity of the obstacles that face us.

Behind closed doors is where all this suffering takes place…

Families torn apart by children with cancer, folks unable to move from their bed because of obesity, massive rates of depression.

An astonishing 1 in 4 Americans suffer mental illness.

It all makes me so sad because 99% of all this suffering is totally avoidable and POINTLESS. If it has a point, it could be that it shows us where we’re going wrong but we sure are slow to wake up to the facts… Continue reading “Why is there so much suffering in the world?”

Health is everything

Voice of wisdom, health is everything
© Matteo Parrini

This quote is from a comment made on another website. It’s a beautiful summary of what Happy Guide is about — our philosophy.

This extract from that comment is the voice of experience. The voice of someone who’s learnt the hard way — through trial and error. True words…

“…Eating or exercising a certain way will not give you a healthier body for life unless there are lifestyle habits in place that are sustainable for life… Health is not one thing; it is everything and it starts with a person’s mindset.”

What she means by the second sentence is that everything feeds into health. Everything you do (or don’t do) either contributes to, or takes away from, your health. And that is day after day, year after year… Continue reading “Health is everything”

I HATE change

© HckySo

“I really hate change — I really REALLY hate change” I heard someone say yesterday.

That’s normal. That’s most people. But why do we dislike it so much?

The reason is that sudden change is unpleasant because we have no map…

Suddenly the rules are unclear, we don’t know how we fit into the new scheme, we are adrift, unsure. And it takes a while to learn the new set-up and become comfy with our place. That’s why most people hate change… Continue reading “I HATE change”

I can’t function anymore

cant-function-1
© Svein Halvor Halvorsen

Honestly, I’ve been where you are, I know how you’re feeling. For 13 long years I couldn’t function, I was a zombie, not functioning mentally or physically.

That’s why I’m writing these words now…

I want you to feel better fast. For me, it was a long journey, and from that dark place of not functioning, the answers were hard to find, nothing worked.

The health industry is a muddle of confusion

When I tried to find information to help me turn things around, all I found was confusion, debate, and complexity in the health information industry. There was no clarity, no crystal clear guiding light that I could trust to lead me back to health. In short, it was a nightmare.

It took me a long time to piece it all together, to figure out the critical things that really matter, to discover what will truly work for health.

A guiding light

And that’s why I want you to get the information that will work right away. I had to write the book myself, so that other people, like you, would not have years of time wasted in confusion about what is going to work. It’s called Happy Guide.

Within an hour from now, you can be crystal clear about what works, crystal clear about what to aim for to turn your life around, to feel happy every day. You could spend the rest of the day pondering your first step and be up and running by tomorrow morning.

Crystal clarity

The fastest way for you to get to feeling good is to start today, by getting clear about the things that are truly taking you away from health and happiness, and applying the solutions in solid, clear steps.

Initial steps can be challenging, no doubt, but the worst thing of all is being stuck, not moving and not knowing where to turn for answers, not knowing if information can be trusted, if it will work.

Start your journey today

I have taken the journey you want to take, from not functioning, to having loads of energy and feeling great every day. And your energy, your mood, your vitality, your clarity of mind, is affecting everyone around you, because we all affect each other.

So please, get the information that will work, that will have you on the path instantly. It only takes one hour to read it, and by the end, you will feel really motivated, and happy that now you have a clear path to feeling good again.

As well as that, you are not without support, you can leave messages on any of our articles.

Happy Guide: Inspiration and motivation

After you’ve read Happy Guide, you’ll feel so relieved, because you’ll see how all the answers ring true, how the answers will be self-evident for you, you won’t be in any doubt.

And you will feel motivated! That is a precious thing in itself, you’ll feel inspired to act, knowing that you are moving into a new life where you always feel good and happy, as life should be.

So please don’t let years go by with no progress, turn it around today, by learning in one hour what took me over 20 years to figure out.

Why is pain good?

© Diamond Farah

If you’re like me, the thing that motivated you to change your ways in the past was necessity. Something went wrong, basically.

I’ve noticed this trend in everybody really, hence the wise old saying “Necessity is the mother of invention.”

Perhaps you were hit by depression, gained weight or started feeling tired all the time.

The problem when you’re back on top is that you’re not motivated to change. It’s easy to backslide into old habits because you’re no longer in pain from your actions…

Pain is good?

When I originally made radical changes to my lifestyle, and they were radical, I was pretty much a zombie. The necessity for change was massive and so was the motivation. CRISIS!

But I’ve noticed in myself that the better I feel, the less likely I am to make changes or be motivated. So pain is actually good — in the sense that it shows you in no uncertain terms that what you’re doing is hurting you… Continue reading “Why is pain good?”

How to avoid illness

Does science and medicine really have the answers to avoiding illness?

Will there ever be a reliable cure for cancer, heart disease or diabetes through modern medicine? Or for that matter, a cure for the common cold?

Hippocrates is regarded as the father of medicine and even today, doctors swear “The Hippocratic Oath.”

And yet the advice of Hippocrates to “Let food be your medicine” is largely ignored by the medical machine.

It’s a great shame because only nutrition and other lifestyle factors can create true health and vitality in your life…

Is disease caused by poor nutrition and lifestyle?

© Alison Faith

We are suffering greatly under the weight of poor nutrition and lifestyle choices.

66% of Americans are overweight. And about half of these are obese…

Add to that the suffering caused by depression, cancer, heart disease, strokes and a multitude of other preventable diseases and the picture is very grim.

No man is an island. One person’s suffering affects us all… Continue reading “Is disease caused by poor nutrition and lifestyle?”

Health and longevity secrets of the Okinawans

Happy Okinawan centenarian © Karen Walzer

Wouldn’t it be great if we had some really healthy role models?

People who live the healthiest, happiest lives so that we can look at them with soft focus and say “I want to be like that too?”

Well we can! There are lists of the healthiest nations in the world…

Japan usually tops these lists but actually, above Japan is the little island of Okinawa. It’s only a teeny dot on the world map…

The healthiest people in the world?

Okinawa is a lush subtropical island in the Pacific Ocean, made famous — at least in my mind — as the home of Mr. Myagi in The Karate Kid :-)

It has more people over a hundred years old than anywhere else on Earth — as a percentage of the population. Well, no-one wants to live to be a centenarian if the last thirty years of their life is spent in miserable declining health…
